A new medical clinic in Uganda will be opened in
July 2007 by the Clare Nsenga Foundation and the UCONN Medical Center
of Farmington, CT. Right now they need clothes to send there. If you
can donate please contact this website.
This is an email from a friend of mine; Karen Hudson who is
Special Activities Coordinator for the Clare Nsenga Foundation. I
wanted to share it in her own words because I couldn't explain it any
better..nor could I express the apparent work that went into
manifesting this clinic that will open in July of 2007 in Uganda to
help those ravished by poverty and disease. We are all a piece in this
puzzle we call life. We are not as seperate as we think we are. What
effects other people energetically affects us as well...directly or
indirectly. Any thing that improves the lot of another's life also
improves ours. It sets in motion positive energy like a pebble in a
pond that ripples outwards. Any act of kindness is never forgotten in
the cosmic records and maybe we can set in motion the power of
abundance, freedom from disease and peace for future generations.
Hi everyone,
Most of you all know that I have been working with a friend who
has managed to build a hospital in her home land of Uganda. She is a
remarkable woman, who with the help of God, and some good friends, and
fought tooth and nail to bring about a dream of providing medical
attention, specificly aimed towards AIDS, to the children of her
village. I have watched this project from the first purchase of the
land, to the raw building, to the roof going on, then the windows going
in. Every step was a celebrated and well deserved victory. When the
building was completed, we just couldnt believe it. We all have raised
money any way we could, selling candy, bingo nights at Foxwoods,
spaghitti suppers etc. None of which brought in huge amounts of money
at one time, but we chipped away at the bigger picture little by
little. At one point, Hartford hospital jumped on board and it became a
project of interest to them. They have been beyond helpfull with the
medical end of things, and have donated several pieces of equipment for
use over there. They also plan to send interns over there this summer
to help in the clinic. The big obsticle lately was finding a way to
ship all this much needed equipment over to Uganda. Berna applied for a
grant about a year ago, but never heard anything back.............till
just now. Her request was granted, and the shipping will now be a
reality. What we are looking for now, are used clothing in good shape.
Childrens is mostly needed. These people have very little to call their
own, and as most of you know, the AIDS virus runs rampid there. If any
of you has any good clothing, and would like to donate it, please let
me know. I will pick it up and get it to Berna. I know this is a busy
time of year, but please think of those who have so little, and we who
have so much.
Thanks and God Bless,
Karen
